Peacocks Store re-opens at Park Centre

UK Retailer Peacocks is now back in business at the Park Centre. The Peacocks brand saw a mass closing of 224 stores when it went into administration in late February, leading to the loss of thousands of jobs across the UK. The Park Centre branch is the first in NI to be re-opened by Peacocks new owners, EWM Ltd.

Park Centre Manager, Chris Newton welcomes the re-opening of Peacocks and feels that it is great news for Belfast. He said,

“I am delighted that Peacocks is back in business at Park Centre. The fact that this is the first Peacocks store to re-open in Northern Ireland is a huge statement about the potential of Belfast and Park Centre in particular. The store is an excellent addition to our range of fashion retailers and I am sure their spring and summer stock will be very popular.”

Peacocks Store Manager, Lesley Reid is also optimistic about trading over the coming months. She said,

“It’s wonderful to be up and running again in Park Centre. We re-opened on Easter Monday and have hit the ground running. The store has been re-stocked with the spring and summer trends and we have received a great response from our customers. The re-opening has also secured 14 local jobs which is great news.”
